I have been installing Murray Arc Fault circuits for a while now in residential applications.

Pro: They help prevent fires from shorted or defective wiring.

Con: They trip too often.  I think that  it has gotten a little better in the past few months, but I can not confidently install one of these breakers in a home ( new or older wiring )  and feel it will stay on.  I have called the company and done lots of trouble shooting and have found little to explain the nuisance tripping.
